WordPress challenged us this week to post interpretations of shapes, lines, textures, and patterns. Last week I was in Munich, where these festive Oktoberfest hearts caught my eye in the Viktualienmarkt.

This week’s WordPress Photo Challenge: Near and Far. Share a photo that means Near and Far to you! Blogger friends, I’m off for my annual vacation. This year’s destinations: Munich and Croatia. I will catch up with all of your blogs when I return, and I hope to share some lovely photos with you. I have wanted to visit Dubrovnik for years! During my 2007 trip to Munich to see my family, my cousin and I planned a trip to the Garmisch-Partenkirchen area. I love this region in southern Germany. The scenery is absolutely stunning, and we always find great shops and restaurants. It was unusually hot, so my cousin suggested also hiking through the Partnachklamm, or Partnach Gorge. But being a nature-lover, I also love the Munich Botanic Garden in the suburb of Nymphenburg. If you love nature too, you will enjoy a visit to the Botanic Garden, home to approximately 14,000 plant species. […]
This week’s WordPress Photo Challenge: Share a picture that means INDULGE to you! I live in the United States, and every September I fly to Munich to visit my family. During my 2007 visit, the weather was gorgeous. I joined my family in my aunt's garden on a delightful warm fall day. We enjoyed a great meal, and the wine and champagne flowed freely. Then my cousin Loretta presented her cake creation. Who could resist? You can see other bloggers’ […]
