Travel Theme: Big

Ailsa’s invited us to participate in her new travel theme, Big. Juxtaposing this homestead with the Sangre de Cristo peaks in the background of this image helps to convey how massive these mountains are. Their range extends from the Colorado town of Poncha Springs into New Mexico near Santa Fe, and it includes several fourteeners (Colorado-speak for a mountain taller than 14,000 feet). Click on the image to see the homestead better. Thanks for the theme, Ailsa, and for the opportunity to use the excellent word “juxtaposing” in a post.
