Munich is one of my favorite cities, and I’m fortunate to be able to visit almost every year. Like most visitors, I love the city’s well-known attractions, such as the Hofbrau Haus, the Marienplatz, or any of Munich’s world-class museums, like the Deutsches Museum. But being a nature-lover, I also love the Munich Botanic Garden in the suburb of Nymphenburg. If you love nature too, you will enjoy a visit to the Botanic Garden, home to approximately 14,000 plant species.
The Botanic Garden includes 55 beautiful acres.
I love orchids, so I love to spend time in the Glasshouse Complex.
The water lilies in Greenhouse #4 are spectacular.
And you can even see turtles, fish, and some iguanas.
It’s easy to take public transportation to the Botanic Garden. So if you visit Munich, add this to your must-see list!

That looks lovely! I haven’t been to Munich yet, but I will be in Berlin for a few days this summer. It will be my first time in Germany and I’m really looking forward to it.

I am jealous that you get to go to Munich once a year! 🙂 I hope to eventually spend some time in Germany long term or at least travel there a lot. I did not get to visit the Botanic Garden when I was there…will have to check it out. Beautiful pictures!
